We’ll meet at 10a.m. at Nanoose Community Centre for those interested in car pooling. It takes about 25 minutes to drive to the start of the walk.  It’s a 2.5km walk to the falls. Once there we’ll stop and have a snack and something to drink before returning.  We have 20 people who have expressed an interest.  If you haven’t signed up but would like to join us, email Fiona.  Google “Ammonite Falls, Nanaimo” to see some photos.

Protection Island/Dinghy Dock Pub
Monday, June 10

(Alternate date June 11)

A walk around Protection Island followed by appies and drinks at the Dinghy Dock Pub. The walk is a 4.83 km loop with side trails to view the beaches. It will take approximately 1 hour, more if one takes side trails. There is a ferry to the Island which costs approx. $7.00 each way, and it leaves for the island at ten minutes past the hour.  Some kayakers from Graham’s group may want to participate.  Participants need to take one of the ferry rides no later than 1:10, do the walk and we’ll meet at the Dinghy Dock at 3:30 for appies and drinks. Then people can stay for dinner or leave at their leisure.

In order for me to make a reservation at the Pub I will need confirmation of attendance. Members can sign up at the May meeting or contact Wendy directly.

PLEASE CONFIRM BY JUNE 1ST.
