MOTO Members Enjoy Tulips

Day one we drove the scenic route from Fairhaven down Chuckanut Drive to Skagit Valley, stopping off at Larrabee park and then Chuckanut Manor for a late lunch, later returning not only for dinner but to enjoy it’s ocean views and the sunset.

Our final stop was Tulip Valley farms where one of us picked an armful of beautiful tulips. Next day we explored Tulip Town riding around the fields in a wagon before driving onto Roozengaarde farm with its stunning gardens of Spring flowers in full bloom and extensive tulip fields. Later we lunched in La Conner and meandered around the unique shops, where some of us even purchased furniture! The final day, after breakfasting at the Bellwether Inn in Fairhaven, was spent on a little shopping therapy at Trader Joes for wine and cheese and Bellis Fair. Safely over the border with our very laden car, our final stop was enjoying some refreshments in the sunshine at White Rock Beach before heading to the ferry (oh and a quick stop at Tsawwassen Mills for shoes)!  Weather perfect, flowers at their peak and good company, it was a very enjoyable trip.
